GARUDA INDONESIA AWARDED “WORLD’S BEST CABIN CREW” FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

In addition to secured “World’s Best Cabin Crew” for the fourth time, Garuda Indonesia also reclaim the ranks of “Top 10 Global Airlines”

Le Bourget Paris, July 20, 2017 – The national flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia awarded “The World’s Best Cabin Crew” for fourth consecutive years from Skytrax, an independent London-based flight rating agency. The award as the world’s best cabin crew is the fourth time received by Garuda Indonesia since 2014.

“The World’s Best Cabin Crew 2017” award was presented by CEO of Skytrax Edward Plaisted to President and CEO of Garuda Indonesia Pahala N Mansury at the “Skytrax World Airline Awards” event in Paris Air Show 2017, one of the biggest air show in the world, at Le Bourget, Paris, on Tuesday (20/6).

The awarding session was witnessed by the Indonesian Ambassador to France Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, Services Director of Garuda Indonesia Nicodemus P. Lampe and Finance Director of Garuda Indonesia Helmi Imam Satriyono.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Pahala N. Mansury said that the “World Best Cabin Crew” award, is a remarkable milestone for the airline, and Garuda Indonesia proudly presents the achievement for the beloved nation, Indonesia.

Being awarded “The World’s Best Cabin Staff 2017” is certainly an honour for all of Garuda’s dedicated employees – and in particular our cabin crews, who have committed themselves wholeheartedly to the advancement of Garuda Indonesia and have embraced the challenge together to achieve a level of “Service of Excellence”. I believe that this award will serve as further inspiration for Garuda and its employees to remain committed and even improve further, while it will also mark another milestone as a firm recognition of the sustained development which we have continued to make over the recent years, not only in terms of services, but also throughout all aspects of our company” added Pahala.

The recognition of Garuda Indonesia as “The World’s Best Cabin Crew 2017” is based on the assessment through the “Customer Satisfaction Survey” conducted by Skytrax globally involving more than 18 million passengers. The survey was conducted on more than 245 international airlines, and held annually by measuring 41 major aspects related to products and services provided by airlines.

Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said the “World’s Best Cabin Crew” award is one of the most prestigious honors in the world of aviation. To have secured this award for four consecutive years is remarkable and unprecedented and the staff and management of Garuda should be enormously proud of this achievement. The Garuda Indonesia cabin crew deliver hospitality and efficiency at the highest level”.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Ambassador to France Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan on the occasion expressed his appreciation to Garuda Indonesia for its success in maintaining the title of “World’s Best Cabin Crew” for the fourth time.

In addition to winning “World’s Best Cabin Crew” for the fourth time, at the same event Garuda Indonesia also re-entered the ranks of “Top 10 Global Airlines”. Garuda Indonesia is ranked 10th among other airlines, including Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, ANA All Nippon Airways, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Eva Air, Lufthansa, Etihad Airways and Hainan Airlines.
